I'm an ungainly artist, a tenacious activist, a deep feeler, a health and wellness enthusiast, a smitten wife, a protective mama, a homeschool teacher, an avid reader, and an amateur writer.
I'm also a trauma survivor, an autoimmune warrior, and a yoga instructor.
I have a poet’s soul, a relentless spirit, and an unquenchable love of triumphant stories.
So, how do we overcome life's most painful traumas and obstacles to survive, nonetheless thrive?
We find the courage to safely share our stories, we find purpose in our collective pain, we give ourselves and others grace as often as we can, and we always, always exhibit grit.

Exhibit: Manifest or deliberately display a quality or a type of behavior
Grit: Courage and resolve; strength of character; the ability to work hard and respond resiliently to failure and adversity; the inner quality that enables individuals to persevere

Here, you'll fund a collection of poems and anecdotes covering a wide variety of mental, physical, and spiritual topics, as well as social and environmental justice.
I believe that by sharing our truth, we reclaim our power and give others permission to do the same. By centering the voices of survivors, we enable us all to navigate the complexities of our own pain, reassess limiting beliefs, and reveal the potential in our unique and united purposes.
Thanks to the tireless generations who came before us, we have made great progress, but there is still much work to be done to achieve the true safety, healing, and equality that we all deserve.
To anyone currently sitting in pain or going through a storm, please know that you are not alone. You are seen, heard, and held. And you are enough - soon, they will see that too.
And always, always exhibit grit.
Love & Beyond.
